Yup, the whole world probably knows by now too, but I could resist posting this topical cartoon I found today whilst browsing.  If you’d like a laugh at Adobe’s expense go take a look, but remember; “Many a True Word is Spoken in Jest“
So Christmas has come, and gone, and I hope everyone had a great one and is looking forwards to a fantastic New Year. Before the festive season, I was looking for a web designer, to create some cool pages for my new portraiture website, but various things have happened which means the raiy day fund had to get used and now it looks like I’m gonne be back to learning how to DIY the website. I’m not concerned I’ve built some average websites before now, and I have a smattering of dynamic code under my belt, but this is gonna have to draw on the more creative stuff. So it looks like I’ll be learning to use InDesign for the marketing materials and GoLive for the web pages. I’ll post links to the first itteration here when it’s done, but please don’t judge me too harshly
If you’re looking for more ways to extend your photoshop (or any other Adobe product) then you’ll find some really quite useful stuff at the Adobe Exchange. This might look familiar to anyone who used to use Macromedia products; Macromedia used to have a site called exchange where users and companies used to exchange plugins and all sorts with each other. I’m figuring since Adobe purchased the Macromedia companies that this is the same deal rehashed for Adobe products.  Anyway, lots of good stuff, go dig around see what you can find!!
Just a quick Sunday post. For those of you looking to increase your Adobe skills, Adobe publishes a PDF e-zine called Adobe Proxy. It has article, tutorials, etc well worth taking a look at.
OK, this isn’t really new news, since it’s been around for nearly a week now, but for those of you that weren’t aware, Adobe has released the latest beta of this wonderful software. Now if you don’t already have a DAM (Digital Asset Management) soution, you could do worse than to check this out. Additionally it allows you to work on RAW files in a similar way to Photoshop RAW, but in a non destructive way. Interface looks cool and the program is pretty quick.
If you don’t already have a solution give it a whirl.
